Numerical model for analysis of compact and slender hybrid steel beams subjected to bending

چکیده
This article presents a study of the behavior hybrid steel beams I-profile cross section subjected to bending. Numerical models finite elements were developed and validated in ABAQUS software. In models, lateral buckling with torsion was disregarded, since beam will be laterally restrained, so that only local instabilities are present thus evaluated. Analyses divided into two stages: first, elastic analysis carried out obtain critical loads modes beams; subsequently, ultimate strength capacity considering residual stresses initial imperfections. The numerical model defined sensitivity yield flange out. obtained results from satisfactory and, as expected, showed resist greater bending moment effort when compared their corresponding homogeneous beams.
